FerryWatch
Washington State ferry reservation alerts
Washington State Ferries vehicle reservations sell out weeks ahead. People cancel constantly, though, and the spots they give up drop straight back into the pool. They are usually gone within minutes, because whoever happens to be refreshing the page at that moment gets them.
FerryWatch does the refreshing for you. Pick a route, a date, and the exact sold-out sailings you would actually take. It watches them around the clock and sends a push notification the moment vehicle space appears, including at 2am, when most of the cancellations nobody catches happen.
Booking still happens on WSF’s own site, by you. FerryWatch watches and tells you. It never makes a reservation on your behalf, and it cannot promise you the spot: space can vanish minutes after it appears. It is a much better chance, not a guarantee.
Both reservable routes are covered:
- Anacortes to the San Juan Islands, and back
- Port Townsend to Coupeville, and back
There is no account, no password, and no email address to hand over. Nothing identifies you, and there is no advertising or analytics in the app. The free plan watches one sailing, with push alerts included, because the alert is never the part worth charging for. Pro lifts the limits for people covering a whole trip.
FerryWatch is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Washington State Ferries or WSDOT.
